Giving at SCC
We are thankful for everything God has provided this year to help fund Stroudwater's many ministries here in Maine and around the world. Just as in ancient times, the faithfulness and generosity of the local church is the hope of the world, and we are blessed with people who are doing great things in Jesus' name.
Why do you ask for a pledge for the tithe giving at Stroudwater?
By making a personal tithe pledge to support Stroudwater for the upcoming year, you help create a predictable financial foundation to support our work and provide additional resources to expand and improve our Sunday morning worship, local and world missions, small groups, Sunday school, middle and high school youth ministries, men's and women's fellowship groups, Christian counseling services, our marriage retreat, the all-church summer campout and more.
Can I start my pledge giving at any time ?
Yes, all though we do an annual pledge campaign at the same time every year (to help us build our budget and make plans for our many ministries) you can start pledge giving at any time during the year.
Do I have to set up my pledge online payments or can I give during the service on Sunday mornings?
Setting up automatic giving via our church web-site is just one option for you to invest in Stroudwater. You can also support us with a 1-Time Gift or Support Missions online or give in other traditional ways.
Can I fill out a pledge form online without starting automated pledge giving?
Yes, please click HERE for the pledge card. This will be forwarded to the Stewardship Team.

We continue to pray that God's grace will enable and encourage all of us to give and invest in His work through Stroudwater, and that you will trust in Him by giving generously from the bounty He has provided. Sacrificial giving is a reflection of Christ in each of us - we are most like Him when we have a giving spirit.
2 Corinthians 8:7-15 New International Version (NIV)
7 But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you — see that you also excel in this grace of giving.8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.10 And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. 11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. 12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, 15 as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”
